You have bought good oil. Now watch what happens the third time you pour it: a dribble runs down the neck, along the shoulder of the bottle, onto the shelf, and by next week the whole thing is tacky to pick up. That is the problem this solves. A stainless steel oil pourer that pushes into the neck of the bottle you already own and turns it into a proper oil dispenser bottle — a thin, controlled stream that stops when you stop.
It fits any bottle with a 19–20 mm inner neck, which covers most standard glass oil and vinegar bottles — and all three of ours: the 200 ml, 500 ml and 1 litre glass bottles. Push it in firmly and it seats itself; there is no thread to line up and no cap to lose. If your bottle neck is wider than 20 mm it will sit loose, so measure the inside of the neck rather than the outside before you order.
Slowly and exactly where you point it. The narrow spout gives you a pencil-thin stream instead of a glug, so a teaspoon into a hot tadka pan is a teaspoon, not a splash. The vent lets air back in cleanly, which is what stops the bottle from burping oil down its own side. Tip it back and the flow cuts off — no drip on the return. It handles thicker liquids happily too: honey, vinegar, syrups and even our castor oil.
Food-grade stainless steel, which matters more than it sounds. Steel does not stain, does not hold the smell of the last oil, does not go brittle in a hot kitchen and does not perish the way a rubber-and-plastic pourer does after a few months. It is a reusable fitting, not a disposable one — move it from an empty bottle to a full one and keep going.
One per bottle you use regularly. Most kitchens run at least two oils at once, and swapping a single pourer between bottles is exactly how oil ends up on the counter. That is why we sell them in ones, threes and sixes — the pack of three is what most families settle on, and the six is for anyone who has also decanted the vinegar and the syrup.
Pull it out, wash in warm soapy water, rinse and let it dry fully before putting it back. Do that once a month and it will outlast a lot of things in your kitchen. Because it is steel, it goes in the dishwasher too.
A small thing, but it is the difference between a shelf you are happy to look at and a shelf you avoid touching.
